At Forged Hope Counseling and Consulting, PLLC, our mission is to provide compassionate mental health support for individuals of all ages. We aim to foster a safe environment where clients can explore their feelings and find healing from depression, anxiety, and trauma. Forged Hope's name represents a person integrating the "Before" and "After" trauma in order to feel "whole" again by "forging" what feels torn apart. Hope reminds the person that change can happen and become an intrinsic part of the person's life.

"Have you walked through a time in your life so dark that you lost sight of who you are? Has the storm of emotional pain numbed your senses to peace and joy? If you are willing to set your course forward and forge a new, and better you; then, I will walk that road with you, encouraging you forward. Alone, you’ve weathered the storm. Join me to anchor your concerns, create your calm, and process the memories that have capsized your serenity…reclaim your hope!"
I facilitate counseling with children, parents, groups, and individuals. I also present psychological education about chronic stress and coping strategies at events and facilities.
Having come from a family who has served in the Military and as First-Responders, I have a special interest in working with those populations. I also have received training in and am part of Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN).
The military has influenced my life so it is no surprise that I would create an acronym to describe a technique I often use. I call it: STAT: "Symbolic Targeting At Trauma". This approach with expressive arts allows my clients to process trauma, the way trauma first is understood (in symbols within the brain prior to attributing meaning).
Not only have my family and friends helped me understand Veterans and First-Responders, but my life experiences have also contributed to my counseling competence with other unique groups. For example, in my past, I worked as a Veterinary Technician for 7 years and an interpreter for 10 years. It is due to this that I have gained an understanding into the unique struggles attached to those careers.
As a graduate of UNT in Denton, I have a deep commitment to continued learning after earning my Master of Science degree in counseling. I strive to learn in order to best assist my clients in reaching their treatment goals. Part of that learning has resulted in the following therapies: Child-Centered Play Therapy, Child Parent Relationship Therapy, Sandtray for trauma, Animal Assisted Therapy/Animal Assisted Activities, and expressive creative arts. Likewise, if you request, I can also offer Christian Counseling.
My clients have often described me as encouraging, and safe. Their feedback is that they appreciate how I will tailor counseling to their unique needs and goals.
Try a phone consultation to see if I might be the counselor that encourages change for you.

Meet Jessica:
My professional background centers on working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma. I began my career supporting veterans, first responders, and their families. I remain deeply connected to those populations in my current work. I also serve adults navigating estranged relationships, particularly those shaped by high-conflict family dynamics.
Many of my clients find themselves stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, and they come to therapy seeking clarity, healing, and a way forward.
I also work with individuals who are facing addiction, significant life transitions, or a loss of identity, helping them rediscover their sense of purpose and reconnect with their values.
I understand how difficult it can be to break free from patterns that keep us feeling stuck, and it is my hope to walk alongside you as you move toward the life you truly want.
I offer faith-based counseling upon request. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit. I look forward to connecting with you.
We are a counseling service dedicated to helping you achieve your best self. Our team of professionals provide personalized care in a safe and supportive environment.
